About the movie
Maro Charitra is a modern day interpretation and remake of the classic cult love story of the late 70s under the same name and directed by legendary K. Balachander. The film deals with the concept of how love transcends across all barriers like caste, race, language, etc. An Indian family moves from a remote town in AP, India to Buffalo, US and become neighbors of another Indian family that settled there long ago. The two famililes get along alright until their kids Balu and Swapna fall in love.
