About the movie
When fourth-grader Max stumbles upon a haunted house with his friends, they dare him to get inside. The house turns out to belong to magician The Great Zamboni (Kingsley), who retired after he made his wife vanish during an act and couldn`t get her back again. As Max gets acquainted with the magician, he finds himself striking a unique friendship with him, learning quite a few tricks and fending for himself from school bullies.
