SYNOPSIS
The title is not just a slang word but a hip new attitude, importantly a fresh perspective on life. A coming-of-age comedy but for a 33-year-old who is trapped between the identity of a boy and a man. YZ tells the story of Gajanan, who ends up in Pune, and how his friendship with an 18-year-old called Battees, opens him up to a new world around him.

Borrowing its name from a popular cuss-word abbreviation, `YZ` turns the entire meaning of the phrase around. One of the good things about the film YZ is that it is consistently peculiar though it may not be par and very much original yet can be called as a smart stuff. The film has believable characters and it is seen avoiding the usual traps of traditional style of storytelling. This film is all about a 33 year old history lecturer from a place called Wai. He is on assignment at Pune who happens to be an introvert as well and is simply not keen to go any new experience in his life.
