Akshay Oberoi, born in Lucknow, is an Indian film actor. He made his debut with the film, Isi Life Mein, in 2010. Akshay studied Theatre Arts and Economics at The John Hopkins University, Baltimore and trained as an actor in New York and under John Austin (from The Addams Family). He also received training from Kishore Namit Kapoor and Makarand Deshpande when he started his career by working at Prithvi Theatre. Akshay received critically acclaimed for his performance in the film, American Chai (2002). Some of his notable works include Pizza (2014), Piku (2015), Bombairiya (2015) and Fitoor (2016). His upcoming film Laal Rang, is slated for an April 2016 release. He is associated with the 2017 movie Gurgaon directed by Shanker Raman. His other releases includes Kaalakaandi (2018), Bombairiya (2019), Junglee (2019), Madam Chief Minister (2021), State of Siege: Temple Attack (2021), Love Hostel (2022), Thar (2022), Judaa Hoke Bhi (2022), Gaslight (2203), I Love You (2023) and Fighter (2024).
