Director Amar Kaushik is predominantly associated with Bollywood and in his short career so far, has been a part of several popular films. Starting his career as an assistant director, Kaushik was a part of the Rajiv Khandelwal starrer
Aamir (2008). Working with accomplished directors in the industry, Kaushik was also a part of

Go Goa Gone (2013),
Fukrey (2013),
Ghanchakkar (2013), and
Beyond the Clouds (2017). After years of playing second fiddle, he finally made his directorial debut with a short film Aaba (2017), which was admired by audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017. He made his debut as a director of a full-length feature film with the comedy horror film
Stree (2018). His 2019 releases include
Bala, a film starring
Ayushmann Khurrana, that talks about premature baldness. He then directed Bhediya (2023) starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. It was another addition to the Maddock Supernatural Universe. He then wrote and produced Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga. Post that, with Dinesh Vijan he produced Munjya (2024) before returning to direction with
Stree 2 (2024).
