Chitrangada Singh started her career as a model and has been the face of many popular brands like ICICI Bank and Alukkas Jewellery. In 2003, she made her on-screen debut with Sudhir Mishra's film Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. Her character Geeta Rao was widely appreciated and is considered as one of her career best performances. Her sophomore outing was Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow (2005). After that, she was on a sabbatical for three years and made her comeback in Onir's romantic comedy Sorry Bhai! She again collaborated with Sudhir Mishra for Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011) and Inkaar (2013). Both the films were critically acclaimed. After I, Me Aur Main (2013), she didn't do any lead roles for a long time. Her 2018 projects include Soorma, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3, and Baazaar. With Soorma, she is making her debut as a producer. The film is based on the life of the legendary hockey player Sandeep Singh.
