Sampath Raj on board for his 2014 Tamil film titled
Burma. The film was a crime thriller and Dharani`s efforts were commended by the critics.
In 2016, the director released his second film,
Jackson Durai, a Tamil horror comedy film. The movie starred
Sathyaraj,
Sibiraj, and
Bindu Madhavi.
Jackson Durai largely received mixed reviews with a reporter from The Hindu summing it up as a well-crafted misfire. The film was also released in Telugu, titled
Dora.
