About
Guillermo Navarro is a Mexican cinematographer and director who has been working in Hollywood since 1994. Raised in Mexico, Navarro first entered the film industry thanks to his sister who was a producer. She hired him as a photographer, an experience which triggered his interest and ascent into cinematography. Ten years after he began his career, he received the opportunity to shoot his first feature film.

Since then he has gained reputation and worked on some notable blockbuster films including Zathura: A Space Adventure (2004), Hellboy (2005), and Pacific Rim (2013). He got his big break through the 2006 movie Pan`s Labyrinth, directed by Guillermo del Toro, a filmmaker with whom Navarro collaborated very often. His work won him an Academy Award, Goya Award and Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography. He has also worked on several TV shows like Hannibal (2013-2015), Narcos (2015), and Luke Cage (2016). His 2020 releases include the Robert Downey Jr. starrer Dolittle.
