The voice behind one of Madhuri Dixit`s most popular songs `Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai?`, Ila Arun is an Indian playback singer, folk/folk-pop singer, and actress. While she has released hit independent songs such as Mera Assi Kali ka Ghagra, Darudi, Bichuda, and Main Raatan Jagi, she has lent her voice for blockbuster tracks like `Morni Baaga Ma Bole` from Lamhe (1991), `Gup Chup Gup Chup` from Karan Arjun (1995), and `Ringa Ringa` from Slumdog Millionaire (2008) to name a few.

The singer with a distinctive voice has also acted in supporting roles in movies, making her role rather prominent in such as Jodhaa Akbar (2008), Well Done Abba (2010) and Shaadi Ke Side Effects (2014). Further, she displayed her acting prowess in films like Begum Jaan (2017) and Manto (2018). Her 2020 releases include Ghoomketu and Chhalaang.
