Jane Colburn Levy is an American film and TV actress who is best known for her role as Tessa Altman in the comedy series, Suburgatory. The actress who made her TV series debut with Shameless has featured in movies like Nobody Walks (2012) and Evil Dead (2013). For her stellar performances in the movie, she was named by critics as one of the breakout stars and Forbes named her on their list of 30 under 30 brightest stars of the future.

Early Life
Levy was born in Los Angeles to Lester Levy and Mary. Her mother is an artist and her father is a musician. The actress went to Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, California. While studying in school, Levy took great interest in dance and sports; she was the captain of the school soccer team and was part of the hip hop dancing team. Levy stated that at school she was a `floater` and would get along well with everyone. Levy completed her graduation from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York.

Personal Life
Jane Levy married actor Jaime Freitas on March 3, 2011, but the marriage did not last long and after being together for two years, Levy filed for divorce in April 2013 citing irreconcilable differences.

Movie Career
Levy started her acting career in 2011 by appearing in TV series, in her first role, she played the lead character in the popular sitcom Suburgatory alongside Cheryl Hines and Jeremy Sisto. For her performance in the series, she won critical acclaim as was included in the top 11 funniest women list compiled by AOL. The following year, the actress bagged her first role in the film, Fun Size directed by Josh Schwartz. The movie also featuring Chelsea Handler and Victoria Justice released on October 26, 2012.

In 2013, Levy starred in her only film of the year, The Evil Dead and her role as Mia, a drug addict was appreciated by the critics. In 2014, Levy appeared in a supporting role in About Alex starring Nate Parker, Jason Ritter, Maggie Grace, Aubrey Plaza and Max Greenfield. Her other movie of the year was Jeffrey St. Jules` Bang Bang Baby, a Canadian musical sci-fi movie. The movie co-starring Justin Chatwin and Peter Stormare released on September 8, 2014, and it was an average hit. Levy had a quiet year in 2015 as her only release of the year, Frank and Cindy failed at the box-office. Her 2016 release include Don`t Breathe.
