Making his debut on television in 1999 by appearing on an episode of the hit HBO mafia show, The Sopranos, Michael B. Jordan is an American actor and producer. Before entering the movie industry, he was best known for his roles as teenage drug dealer Wallace in The Wire (2002-2008), East Dillon High School quarterback Vince Howard in Friday Night Lights (2006-2011), Reggie Montgomery in All My Children (1970-2011), and Alex in Parenthood (2010-2015).
Although B. Jordan made his acting debut with a bit role in Black & White in 1999, it was the 2001 Keanu Reeves starrer, Hardball that is counted as his first credited work. Since then he has worked in the sci fi-superhero movie Chronicle (2012), the critics favorite Fruitvale Station (2013), the romantic-comedy That Awkward Moment (2014) and the box-office superhero farce Fantastic Four (2015). B. Jordan teamed up again with the Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler for the 2016 movie, Creed. The movie, a sequel in the Rocky series, was nominated for an Oscar. In 2018 B. Jordan starred alongside Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong`o, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, and Andy Serkis in director Ryan Coogler`s superhero movie,
Black Panther. This is the eighteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). His other releases includes
