After taking the Internet by storm in 2018 with her expressions in a 20-second video clip from the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi, Priya Prakash Varrier, a young college-goer, gained about 1 million followers and more on her Instagram account in a day. While Priya has participated in a number of fashion shows at cultural events, she has also been a part of short films titled Third Flip and Kadalassu Thoni, both of which released in 2017.

The same year, in 2017, she featured in the music video of the Tamil song Nee Vaanam Naan Mazhai, which was released under T-Series Tamil`s label. Making her feature film debut in 2019, Priya featured in Oru Adaar Love, Lover`s Day and Kirik Love Story. Her other releases include Check (2021) and Ishq (2021).
