Hailing from Assam, Rajdweep is an Indian screenwriter, playwright, lyricist and journalist. He began his career with work in numerous Assamese films, music albums and plays. In 2016 he made his Bollywood debut as the lyricist for the Assamese song `Jiri Jiri` in
A Death in the Gunj. This was followed by the Bihu song `Lahe Lahe` in Anurag Basu`s
Jagga Jasoos (2017). Apart from his extensive work as a lyricist for Assamese movies, Rajdweep is also a screenwriter. His first credit as a screenwriter was Khel-the Game (2015), which was followed by Rum Vodka Whisky (2017). He also won the fourth place at the Cinestaan India`s Storyteller`s Script Contest in 2018, for his script `Ishqlogy`. His more recent releases include
Pratighaat (2019) and
Pepper Chicken (2020).
