A known television actor, Rajesh Jais is best remembered for his portrayal of the righteous Mr. Shastri in Colors daily soap Shastri Sisters. While he hails from an army background, Rajesh chose to be a part of the entertainment business despite being shortlisted to be a lieutenant in the Territorial Army. A guest lecturer at the prestigious National School of Drama, Rajesh has been a part of the industry since the early 1990s.

In a career spanning more than two decades, Rajesh has appeared in a number of movies, some of which are Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women, Johnny Gaddaar, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, Airlift, Raman Raghav 2.0, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Fastey Fasaatey and Indoo Ki Jawani.
