SYNOPSIS
We have always been told that "Marriage" is a marriage between two families. 'Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety' explores the new age version of the same belief where "Marriage" is a marriage between two friend circles. What happens when you decide to get married, but your best friend and your girlfriend can't see eye to eye.

Sonu and Titu are childhood friends. Titu has always been a naive lover, who falls in love easily and Sonu has always had to step in to save him. But Sweety is the perfect bride and Titu is head over heels in love with her. Sonu's instinct to protect Titu at whatever cost, makes him feel that she's too good to be true.

What ensues is a war between the best friend and the bride to be. While Sweety is trying to impress Titu and the family alike, Sonu is out to sabotage the utopian romance.

Verdict: A refreshingly entertaining bromantic comedy. After the Pyaar Ka Punchnama series, Luv Ranjan is back with another romantic comedy with a twist. Maintaining the cast from his previous movies, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety stars Kartik Aryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh. This movie, like both his previous movies, is expected to be a []... ...Read full review

Written by the same duo as Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 3, Luv Ranjan and Rahul Mody have tried to extend their know-the-girl universe with this one. Dont know how-how but all these three times, they have managed to cook a delicious dish with somewhat similar ingredients. ...Read full review
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety could have done with tighter editing as the second half drags a bit. Cinematography and music are on par, though the songs are mostly rehashes of hit Punjabi numbers. The film has sharp, witty dialogue, and it`s these which make you laugh the most. ...Read full review

In a nutshell, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is miles away from highbrow cinema. Instead, it`s all about fun and spunk that`s doesn`t tell you to take itself seriously. Given the title, the troika reprising the title roles includes Sonu (Kartik Aryan), his childhood friend Titu (Sunny Singh) and his potential bride Sweety (Nushrat Bharucha). That Titu happens to be an emotionally-vulnerable twit, leads him to getting entangled with females who get the better of him. Luckily, he has a saviour in Sonu, a cynic who sizes up every woman to decode her ultimate masterplan. But when Titu is arranged to get hitched to Sweety, Sonu cant seem to read her, but is just as pessimistic. And thus begins the battle of wits between dost and ladki as Sonu and Sweety trade petty insults, cocked eyebrows and lopsided smirks each time they manage to supposedly gain over or expose the other. ...Read full review
In one scene in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, four men are sitting together, dipping their feet into the pool and knocking back the whiskey. They are chatting about marriage, women, and relationships. One of them exclaims: uparwale ne acchi ladki banana hi band kar diya. I have no idea what director, writer and co-producer Luv Ranjans definition of acchi ladki is. But none of the women in this film at least the younger ones are deemed worthy of the descriptor. ...Read full review
There are two things you should know about Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, although if youve watched director Luv Ranjans Pyaar Ka Punchnama and its sequel it should come as no surprise whatsoever. The first is that women are always the enemy. Theyre scheming, ball-busting shrews. The second is that despite the sexism, the objectionable stereotyping, and the frequent misogyny, the film is unquestionably funny. Now what to do! ...Read full review
The film opens with Titu (Sunny Singh) crying over his girlfriend and Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) ranting about her and women in general in his signature style. But the real problem crops up couple of scenes later, when Titu decides he wants shaadi and meets Sweety (Nushrat Bharucha). Titu`s instant attraction towards her and Sonu`s immediate dislike for her give us a clear trajectory of which way this film will go. ...Read full review
