Rohit Dhawan is an Indian film director and the son of the popular Indian director David Dhawan. Rohit`s brother is the talented actor Varun Dhawan, the elder son of David Dhawan. He made his directorial debut with the 2011 movie Desi Boyz.
Early Life
Rohit was born to the renowned director David Dhawan, and Karuna. His paternal uncle, Anil Dhawan is also an actor. He completed his graduation from the NYU film school.
Personal Life
Rohit dated Jaanvi Desai, a fashion merchandiser, for 7 years before getting engaged to her in 2011. The couple got married on 10th February 2012 in Goa in a proper Punjabi tradition.
Movie Career
The talented director made his debut in Bollywood with the movie Desi Boyz in 2011. The comedy-drama film that stars John Abraham, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, and Chitrangda Singh in lead roles received a mixed response at the box office. Although, Desi Boyz remains his directorial debut, David Dhawan in an interview revealed that Rohit had assisted him in writing Partner (2007).

Rohit`s 2016 releases include the action-comedy Dishoom, starring his younger brother Varun Dhawan, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Akshaye Khanna.
