Sanjay is an Indian film writer and director. Gupta made his directorial debut with the movie Aatish: Feel the Fire (1994), followed by Ram Shastra (1995), Jung (2000), Kaante (2002) and Zinda (2006). His other movies include Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007), Woodstock Villa (2008), Acid Factory (2010), Shootout at Wadala (2013), Jazbaa (2015) and Kaabil (2017). His 2021 project includes Mumbai Saga, a crime drama film that stars John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles.
