Model-turned-actress Tripti Dimri made a promising debut in Bollywood with the comedy
Poster Boys (2017), which was directed by
Shreyas Talpade. Prior to this, she had modelled in ads for a number of reputed brands like Good Earth and Santoor.
In 2018, Tripti made her sophomore outing in Bollywood with the romantic drama Laila Majnu, where she essayed one of the titular roles alongside
Avinash Tiwary. Dimri achieved her breakthrough as the protagonist in Anvita Dutt`s 2020 supernatural drama Bulbbul, reuniting her with Tiwari for a second time. Her performance earned her a Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Actor, Web Original Film (Female). In 2022, Dimri reunited with Dutt and starred in the title role of the critically acclaimed Qala.
She then appeared in a brief role in the top-grossing action thriller Animal (2023), starring Ranbir Kapoor. The film proved to be a significant advancement in Dimri`s career with her role gaining her wider recognition. She received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Dimri then featured in Anand Tiwari`s romantic comedy
Bad Newz, and
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (2024) with Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. Her other releases include
Dhadak 2 (2025) and
Spirit.
