One half of the successful musical duo Vishal-Shekhar, Vishal Dadlani is a singer, composer, and lyricist, who started off as the vocalist and songwriter of the indie rock band Pentagram, which he founded back in 1994. Often regarded as one of the pioneers of original Indian independent music, Vishal has, in every way possible, played an important role in revolutionalising modern Bollywood music.

Born to a Sindhi family in Mumbai, Vishal`s musical journey with Shekhar Ravjiani started only 1999, with the duo composing the music of the romantic comedy Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. Since then, the two have given Bollywood few of its most memorable songs from movies such as Jhankaar Beats, Shabd, Dus, Salaam Namaste, Bluffmaster, Golmaal, Om Shanti Om, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Dostana, I Hate Luv Storys, Student of the Year, Chennai Express, Bang Bang!, Befikre, and Tiger Zinda Hai.

Not only is Vishal an ace music composer, he is also a playback singer and a reality show judge, judging Colors Infinity`s singing reality show The Stage. As a singer, he has sung in most of the movies that he has composed music for and is also associated regional cinema as well. His recent work includes A Gentleman, Chef, Tiger Zinda Hai, Kaalakaandi, and Naa Peru Surya - Naa Illu India, which marks his Telugu film debut. His future releases, as part of his associated with Vishal-Shekhar, include Student of the Year 2, Raazi, Drive, and Zero.
