Being an Indian actor, casting director and screenwriter, Abhishek Banerjee has showcased his many talents in Bollywood. He made his acting debut in films through a cameo performance in Rang De Basanti (2006) as a college student auditioning for a role in the documentary being made on Indian revolutionaries.

As a casting director, he has worked on many blockbuster films including No One Killed Jessica (2011), The Dirty Picture (2011), Rock On 2 (2016), Ok Jaanu (2017), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), Secret Superstar (2017) and Kalank (2019). His 2021 release includes Ajeeb Dastaans. He currently runs a casting company titled Casting Bay.

As an actor, he rose to fame with meatier characters in films like Phillauri (2017), Stree (2018), Dreamgirl (2019) and Bala (2019). It was the impactful roles in web series that earned him praise and recognition for good work. He featured in TVF Pitchers (2015), Mirzapur (2018), Typewriter (2019) and Paatal Lok (2020). His other notable works include Ajeeb Daastaans (2021), Helmet (2021), Ankahi Kahaniya (2021), Rashmi Rocket (2021), Highway (2022) and Bhediya (2022).
