Winning the title of Miss Photogenic in a contest at a local mall in Mumbai when she was in the 10th standard, Daisy Shah was always meant for the entertainment industry. After graduating from Mumbai's Khalsa College with a bachelor's degree in arts, Daisy took to modeling - shoots, and print. Soon, she started assisting ace Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya and was also part of few songs. During her 10-year-long association with Acharya, Daisy was credited as the assistant choreographer in the movies Ek Aur Ek Gyarah: By Hook or by Crook, Zameen, Khakee, and Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. Meanwhile, she appeared in songs such as 'Lagan Lagi' in Tere Naam, Masti's title track, 'Rockstar' from Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, 'Thodi Si Pee Lee Hai' alongside Sanjay Dutt in Department, and 'Neeli Lombdi' from Khuda Kasam.

Making her acting debut, Daisy was cast by Kannada film director Isaiah in the Kannada version of the Malayalam blockbuster Bodyguard titled the same in 2011, opposite Jaggesh. After this, she went on to play lead roles in two other Kannada movies - Bhadra (2011) and Gajendra (2013). In 2014, she made her Bollywood debut opposite Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the Sohail Khan-directed Jai Ho, which is the remake of A. R. Murugadoss' 2006 Telugu film Stalin. The same year, she was cast alongside Raghu Mukherjee in the Kannada horror movie Aakramana, which was made in both 2D and 3D formats, making it the first Kannada horror movie to be made in 3D format.

Playing a rather bold role, unlike her previous roles, Daisy was seen in the third installment of the erotic thriller Hate Story series - Hate Story 3, cast alongside Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan, and Karan Singh Grover. The movie was declared a commercial success, however, opened to mixed critic reviews. She was then cast alongside Rishi Bhutani in the 2017 romantic drama Ram Ratan, playing the female lead. Daisy bagged a role in the third installment of the Race movie series titled Race 3, co-starring Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Anil Kapoor.
