Harshdeep Kaur is a well-known Indian playback singer, who has gained recognition for her work in Hindi, Punjabi as well as Sufi songs. Her contribution to Sufi music earned her the title Sufi Ki Sultana. Some of her most popular songs include `Katiya Karun` from Rockstar, `Ik Onkar` from Rang De Basanti, `Kabira` from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, `Heer` from Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and `Nachde Ne Saare` from Baar Baar Dekho.

Kaur won the singing competition MTV`s Video Ga Ga in 2003. In 2008 she won Junoon - Kuch Kar Dikhaane Ka. She competed from the Sufi Ki Sultan genre with Rahat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan as her mentor. Harshdeep Kaur became a `Coach` on singing reality show The Voice India.

Kaur is the only singer who has appeared on all four seasons of Coke Studio (India) from 2011 to 2015.

For the song `Katiya Karun`, she was nominated at the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer and IIFA Award for Best Female Playback. She has worked with some of the leading music directors like A. R. Rahman, Vishal-Shekhar, Amit Trivedi and Shankar Ehsaan Loy. She`s among few Indian singers to sing for a Hollywood movie with her song `R.I.P.` on the soundtrack of Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle`s film 127 Hours. Her more recent credits include the songs from hit movies like Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), Raazi (2018), Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (2019), Panga (2020), Bhangra Paa Le (2020) and Tanhaji (2020).

Kaur married her childhood friend Mankeet Singh in a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony on 20 March 2015 in Mumbai. The couple`s first child, Hunar Singh was born on 2 March 2021.
