Kanika Kapoor is a popular Indian playback singer. She was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. She started learning classical music from the tender age of 12. She then had a short stint over the All India Radio and subsequently shifted to Mumbai to work. She embarked with her first music video called Jugni Ji which turned out to be a big hit of the year 2012. This song caught the attention of Meet Bros, who then approached her to sing for the song Baby Doll from the movie Ragini MMS 2 (2014). This song was loved by millions all over the country and gave her a lot of recognition. She won the Mirchi Music Award for the best song and the Stardust Award for the Best female singer. She then worked on the movie Happy New Year (2014), singing the song Lovely. Her last song was Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan from the movie Roy (2015).
