Early Life Born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Sasikumar completed his school from St. Peters School Kodaikanal and later went to Vellaichamy Nadar College to pursue his degree in business administration. Sasikumar`s entered the film industry by assisting his uncle Kandasaamy who was the producer of the
Vikram starrer blockbuster film
Sethu (1999). He later learned the nuances of film director by working as assistant director to director Ameer in his films like Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002) and Raam (2005). It was in 2007 when Sasikumar was assisting

Paruthi Veeran (2007) that he started doing ground work for his maiden directorial venture Subramaniapuram and left the film midway to focus on his project.
Personal Life Sasikumar is married and he has two children, a son and a daughter. In an interview, he stated that he wants his family life to be kept under wraps because it would invade their privacy.
