A popular actress, singer, and songwriter, Miranda Taylor Cosgrove started her career in the entertainment industry at the age of three by appearing in various TV commercials. After making her debut on the silver screen with School of Rock (2003), she subsequently appeared in several TV series' where she mostly played small roles before. Her claim to fame was her role as Megan Parker in the American sitcom Drake & Josh (2007), which was aired on Nickelodeon network.

Cosgrove then played the lead role of Carly Shay in the teen sitcom iCarly (2007-12). The series etched her name in the Guinness World Records in 2012 for being the highest paid child actress; Cosgrove earned $180,000 per episode for iCarly. Few of her most notable film appearances include Khan Kluay (2006), The Wild Stallion (2009), Despicable Me 2 (2013), A Mouse Tale (2015) and Despicable Me 3 (2017). Apart from her acting career, Cosgrove is also known for her singing; she released her maiden soundtrack album for the series iCarly where she performed four songs. The actress-cum-musical artist has also released her own studio album which was titled Sparks Fly in April 2010.
