Mithun Sharma, professionally known as Mithoon, is an Indian film music composer and lyricist who primarily works in the Hindi film industry. He made his debut as a composer with Bas Ek Pal in 2006 and gained early recognition with his work in The Train, released in 2007. Mithoon achieved widespread fame for composing the romantic track "Tum Hi Ho" from Aashiqui 2, which was released in India on April 26, 2013. The song became a national sensation and earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director and Best Lyricist in 2014.
Over the years, Mithoon has composed music for several notable films, including Ek Villain (2014), Alone (2015), Sanam Re (2016), Shivaay (2016), Half Girlfriend (2017), Shab (2017), Aksar 2 (2018), Baaghi 2 (2018), Mercury (2018), and Kabir Singh, which released in India on June 21, 2019. In 2020, his music was featured in Malang (February 7) and Khuda Haafiz (August 14).
Mithoon continues to be active in the industry with several recent and upcoming projects. In 2024, he composed music for Yodha, which was released on March 15, and Do Aur Do Pyaar, which was released on April 19. He also worked on the soundtrack of Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, which was released on May 31, and composed for Sarzameen, scheduled to release on July 25, 2025. In addition, Mithoon`s music is featured in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, releasing on July 11, 2025.
