Renji Panicker and his wife Aneta Miriam Thomas, Nithin Renji Panicker was born on the 10th of October, 1987 in Alappuzha, Kerala. He has a twin brother Nikhil Renji Panicker. Nithin attended the Sri Atmananda Memorial School in Kerala, after which he joined the Madras Christian College in Chennai where he graduated with a bachelor`s degree in economics. After completing his graduation, Nithin went on to pursue a postgraduate course in business administration from London, UK.
Movie CareerWhen in school, Nithin wanted to join the National Defense Academy, but his visit to a movie set made him realize that he wanted to, in fact, enter the movie industry. Before turning into a director, Nithin started out as an assistant director. His first movie as an assistant director was in Bharathchandran I.P.S in 2005, where he assisted
Shaji Kailas. He also assisted him in his other movies like
Roudram,
The King and The Commissioner,
Madhirashi, and
Simhasanam. After working as an AD for a few films, Nithin tried his hand as directing with his directorial debut Kasaba, which stars superstar Mammootty and
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
