Playback singer and music composer, Nivas K Prasanna is best known for his contribution to the Tamil film industry. At the age of ten, Nivas started learning Carnatic music and by the time he was in high school, he had completed all the seven grades of the piano. Before making his movie debut, Nivas was actively performing at live shows, which is where a producer from Think Music, Santhosh, found him and was extremely impressed by his work. In 2014, Santhosh offered him his first project Thegidi, which garnered immense praise for its music, winning him accolades such as Behindwoods Gold Award for Find of the Year and the Edison Award for Best Debut Music Director. The same year, in 2014, he debuted as a playback singer in the movie Aaha Kalyanam. While he lent his voice to songs from movies such as Pungidasa, Jeeva, Yamaleela 2, and Ra, Nivas composed the music of the movies Sethupathi, Zero, Kootathil Oruthan and Ivan Thandhiran.
