Parna Pethe is a versatile actor known for her impactful work in both theatre and cinema. Her celebrated performance in the iconic play Charchaughi has crossed over 300 shows and earned her the prestigious Natya Parishad Award. She won the Zee Gaurav Award in 2023 for her role in Adlay Ka, and has received critical acclaim for her performances in experimental productions such as Satyashodhak, Love You, A Friend's Story, Bed Ke Neeche Rehnewali, Ashadhatil Ek Diwas. She is currently performing in the much-loved children's play Tottochan, for which she was recently honoured with the Zee Best Actress Award.
A recipient of the Vinod Doshi Fellowship and the Nargis Dutt Award for young theatre artists, Parna continues to be recognized for her meaningful contributions to the stage.
In cinema, she has appeared in notable Marathi films including Rama Madhav (for which she won a Filmfare Award), YZ, Photocopy, Faster Fene, Medium Spicy, and more recently Ata Thambaycha Nay. Her filmography also includes Bakhtos Kay Mujra Kar, Take Care, Good Night, Ashleel Udyog Mitra Mandal, Vishay Hard. She has also featured in acclaimed short films like The Booth and Kaatal. Known for her sincere performances and deep social insight, Parna remains an active figure in contemporary Indian theatre.Parna has stepped into direction with a play titled Something Like Truth, written by Shanta Gokhale. The play has already had over 25 shows across esteemed venues and will be performed in national international festivals in India - Rangashankara Festival, Banglore Hubba Festival, Serendipity Festival and Minerva Festival. Beyond her artistic work, Parna is a student of clinical psychology. She has translated a book on autism titled Shiktana Mool Adkhaltay for Morris Foundation and has worked with the Pune Police Psychological Well-Being Group. She has produced a series of six short films on Mental Health - Gosht Aahe Prithvimolachi too.
