Prosenjit Chatterjee is an acclaimed Indian actor and producer, celebrated for his extensive contributions to Bengali cinema. He made his debut as a child artist in Hrishikesh Mukherjee`s Chotto Jigyasa (1968) and has since appeared in over 270 films in a career spanning more than five decades. His breakthrough as a lead came with Amar Sangi (1987), and he made his Bollywood debut with Aandhiyan (1990), directed by David Dhawan.
Known for his versatility, Prosenjit has delivered landmark performances in critically acclaimed films such as Chokher Bali (2003), Dosar (2006), Moner Manush (2010), Jaatishwar (2014), Autograph (2010), Baishe Srabon (2011), Shanghai (2012), Traffic (2016), and Shankhachil (2016). His portrayal in Dosar earned him a Special Jury Mention at the 54th National Film Awards.
