Best known for playing the role of Michael Scott in the American series The Office (2005-11), Steven John Carell is a popular American actor, comedian, director, producer, and writer. His stellar performance in the show not only won him the Golden Globe Award for Best Action in a Television Series but also earned him a nomination in the America`s Funniest Man list compiled by the Life magazine. Having started his career as a mail carrier in Littleton, Massachusetts, Carell later started his acting career as a theater artist and he toured with the children`s touring company, and later performed in the comedy musical theater named Knat Scatt Private Eye. He also worked in several TV commercials for various brands like Brown`s Chicken.
