Sundeep Kishan is a Tamil and Telugu film actor who made his acting debut with the 2010 movie
Prasthanam. Following his debut, he was seen in other movies such as
Shor in the City,
Joru, and Tiger to name a few.
Early life
Kishan was born on May 7, 1987 in Chennai, where he lived most of his life. His father is a businessman and his mother works with All India Radio. He attended the prestigious Loyola College there and moved to Hyderabad to pursue a film career. He is the nephew of cinematographer Chota K. Naidu, who was very supportive of Kishan`s decision to choose acting as a career.
Movie Career
He started his career as an assistant director to
Gautham Menon on Surya s/o Krishnanand Vaaranam Aayiram for a year. Although he started working on
Sneha Geetham before Prasthanam, since Prasthanam released before Sneha Geetham, it marked his acting debut in 2009. Sneha Geetham released the following year in 2010. His performance in Prasthanam not only won him accolades for playing
Sai Kumar`s son Chinna, a politically ambitious villain, but also landed him a role in the
Ekta Kapoor produced Hindi film Shor in the City (2011), which also starred
Sendhil Ramamurthy, the Hollywood television star who has the sci-fi- supernatural drama Heroes to his credit. Following his Hindi movie debut, he played the role of Sundeep in the 2012 romantic-comedy
Routine Love Story, co-starring
Regina Cassandra. The year 2013 saw five of his releases where he portrayed the roles of Suri in
Gundello Godari, Shiva in the Tamil film
Yaaruda Mahesh, Sundeep in Venkatadri Express, Raju in
D for Dopidi, and DK Bose where he played the titular character.
In 2014, he had two releases namely Ra RaKrishnayya and Joru. But it was the year 2015 that won him praise for his work in Tiger. The film was well-received and his performance won him praise from various quarters. The Telugu superstar "Mass Maharaja"
Ravi Teja, himself, called up Kishan to congratulate him on his portrayal of the titular character. His other release of 2015 was
Beeruva, following which he was seen in two Telugu releases
Okka Ammayi Thappa and
Run. His projects for 2017 include the Tamil sci-fi thriller
