An illiterate Ramakka lives in a village along with her husband Kalleshappa and two children. Kalleshappa forces her to contest in the district council election from a constituency which is reserved for women. Once she becomes the president, he starts interfering in the administrative decision-making process thus making her a rubber stamp.
