Kaanchi is portrayed by debutante actor Mishti, who has been selected out of more than 300 girls who auditioned to play the protagonist - KAANCHI.
Kaanchi is a rural beauty from Uttaranchal with abundant courage, who fights alone against two uncrowned kings of the country played by Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty. The music of Kaanchi has been composed by two music composers - Ismail Darbar and Salim-Suleiman with 7 songs written by Irshad Kamil.
