About the movie
Murugan is a poor illiterate fisherman residing in a small coastal village whose biggest dream is to visit Goa. He decides to take a solo trip to Goa. But he is unable to communicate with anyone in Goa as he doesnt know any other language except Malayalam.
Also at this time in Goa is John Mathew Mathan, a renowned writer who had won Booker prize. Due to certain circumstances, John and Murugan come across each other. The innocent personality of Murugan catches his attention & together they go on a journey through Goa.
The series of adventures of this unlikely pair through various landmarks and cultural aspects of Goa soon turns out to be a magical journey of laughter and tears. Unexpectedly, Murugan goes missing during the journey.
