SYNOPSIS
The story revolves around Malgudi Public School situated in the high-ranges of Idukki. The movie is an emotional roller coaster that goes through the relationship between two fourth graders and Zephan, played by Anoop Menon, a total stranger. Zephan has an air of mystery around him and a disturbing past that involves his wife Janet, played by Bhama. How the stranger and two children deal with the newly developed bond of innocence, love and the mystery surrounding Zephan is the rest of the story.

The harrowing real incident on which Malgudi Days is based is tremendously horrifying, but the film falls terribly short of translating this dreadfulness on to the big screen. Where it falters, are in the cinematic liberties that it liberally employs and assumes to be safe, and which on the other hand reeks of an inadvertent daftness that robs the plot of its focus. ...Read full review

Anoop Menon`s first solo outing of the year; Maalgudi Days is a good cocktail of fun, drama and suspense. The movie was noticed because of the three brothers Vishal, Vivek and Vinod, who had written and directed the movie. Even though the film doesn`t have any opponents at the releasing centers, the movie crash lands into a tough turf occupied by Charlie, Two Countries and Adi Kapyare Kootamani.
