SYNOPSIS
Armaan Malik (John Abraham) is a criminal mastermind, who runs a successful business with the aid of his equally devious sister Elena (Deepika Padukone). When Ranveer Singh (Saif Ali Khan) approaches Armaan through Robert D`Costa (Anil Kapoor) with a lucrative offer, Armaan is curious as well as skeptical of his motives. To further complicate matters, Ranveer seems to be getting close to Elena as well as Omisha (Jacqueline Fernandez), who is Mallik`s moll. While everybody has a covert intention, it is only end of the `race` that they realize who was really leading it!

Get ready for jobs that `blow`, bare-bods, chains, fists, fruits (of passion) et al. Kinky, huh? Not really. This is what goes into a high-flying, testosterone ride called Race 2, where everything blows up - from beastly cars to bronzed beautism. Macho men dive into mid-air and cars casually fly. The men are smart, but their gizmos are smarter. The women are `haute`, but mean machines give them a run for their curves. Such is this race of brawn and biceps (with limited brain power).Lambi race ka ghoda, Ranveer Singh (Saif) is on a mission again - to avenge the death of his lady-love. On the race-track he encounters Armaan Mallick (John) and his half-sister Aleena (Deepika), reeking of wealth and power in Turkey. Omisha (Jacqueline) joins the race as Armaan`s seductive love-interest. Lastly, there`s the conman, RD (Anil) and his X-factor Cherry (Ameesha), with their fruity diet and juicy one-liners. Everyone is racing for a reason, albeit with less speed, and oodles of style. ...Read full review
Tightly done action sequences, lots of glamour and one liners that cater to the classes and the masses is what makes Race 2 worth a watch.Thankfully, after a long time the director duo of Abbas-Mustan have got a winner in their hands with this sequel as they handle this suspense-thriller with the panache that reminds audiences of Baazigar and Khiladi.Beautiful locales that spin across Turkey add to the visual treat even as Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez, with their beautifully-sculpted bodies add to this tightly woven story of betrayal and survival. However, these two gorgeous damsels need to do more if they want to be taken seriously by their fans as well as Bollywood. The surprise package of the film is the fruit-chomping Anil Kapoor and his nutty assistant Ameesha Patel. Anil Kapoor with all his vulgar one-liners caters to the masses; so does his horny assistant Patel as she keeps seducing her boss whenever the duo get screen time. ...Read full review
Race 2 is the cinematic equivalent of a trashy novel. It never holds together as a sensible piece of work, but as an insensible piece of work, its pretty enjoyable. Director-duo Abbas Mustan create a cocktail of glamorous stars, exotic foreign locations, slick action scenes, and an outrageous plot. At nearly two-and-a-half hours, the film is too long by at least 20 minutes, but Ill give this to Race 2: its seldom boring.Never deviating too far from the blueprint of the 2008 film of which this is a sequel, Race 2 pits two suave conmen against each other in a tale of friendship, double-crossings, and revenge. Saif Ali Khan returns as Ranvir Singh, a loaded tycoon with an agenda. John Abraham, meanwhile, is Armaan Malik, a criminal kingpin forever exploiting opportunities to expand his empire.Set in Turkey, our heroes are surrounded by fast cars and sexy women, and they get rich by swindling casinos, cheating at high-value card games, and stealing prized artifacts from museums. Anil Kapoor is back as RD, former cop and ravenous fruit-eater, and Amisha Patel has replaced Sameera Reddy as his new bimbo assistant, Cherry, whose very name lends itself to a slew of double meaning jokes ...Read full review
