About the movie
People`s War is an action drama, which is all about the agitation against the Thermal Power Plant project near Sompeta in Srikakulam district. Somepeta has witnessed one of the greatest people`s struggle in the history of independent India. The movie People`s War brings out a realistic picture of the movement.
Posani Krishna Murali wants to start a thermal plant near Sompeta in Srikakulam district. Gunna Joga Rao (Srihari) is a young leader, who is fighting against this project. And Simhadri Naidu (R Narayana Murthy), an MLA, learns that through democracy, he cannot do anything. Hence he resigns and joins the movement of people`s war. How Gunna and Simhadri raise voice together against this power project will form the story of the movie People`s War.
