About the movie
Sahil (Bobby Deol) is the step son of Governor Jaisingh Sinha (Raj Babbar). He falls in love with his childhood companion Isha (Kajol), the daughter of PA to Gov. Sinha, But his father announces his engagement to Sheetal (Manisha Koirala), the daughter of Meghnath Chaudhry, who desires Sahil. Outraged, Sahil points a knife at Sinha at the party.
One day when Sahil returns home, he finds his father stabbed and dead. This works against Sahil and he gets jailed for 14 years, with no one to back him up. Before being taken to Central Jail, Sahil stealthily passes an unidentified locket to Sheetal, which he found at his father`s murder spot.
In jail, Sahil comes to know of an unheard-of gutter pipe that leads to the sea. He escapes with the help of Sheetal, who arranges a boat for him at the end of the tunnel.
The rest is how he finds out the real killer, while being on the run from the police department and officer Udham Singh (Om Puri).
