Christopher Whitelaw Pine, better known as Chris Pine, is an American actor who is best remembered for his role in the reboot Star Trek series for which he earned a handful of awards and various nominations. His other notable works include The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Rise of the Guardians, Into the Woods, The Finest Hours and Wonder Woman 1984.

Early Life
Son of actor Robert Pine, who was his co-star on CHIPs, and former actress Gwynne Gilford on 26th August, 1980 in Los Angeles, Pine holds a bachelor`s degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley. For a year, he was an exchange student at the University of Leeds in England. After completing his studies, he went on to study at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

Personal Life
Chris Pine has had a series of girlfriends and has been in the news for his string of affairs. In 2006, he was rumored to be dating American actress Sorel Carradine, however, nothing was confirmed about their relationship status, and the two continue to remain friends. After his alleged affair, he was dating American actress and model Beau Garrett in 2008. The two dated on-and-off for a year before Pine parted ways with her after he became an overnight sensation with Star Trek.

Soon after his break-up, he went on to date The Hills` actress Audrina Patridge in 2009. However, it was reported that the actor dumped the reality star since he, apparently, did not want to tarnish his image so early on in his career. The same year, Pine then reportedly dated actress and model Olivia Munn. Although not much was spoken about them while they were dating, their relationship only became the talk of the town after Munn`s phone was hacked, leaking a few pictures and inappropriate pictures, hinting that the two actually were together for a brief period.

The actor was also rumored to be dating Nathalie Walker and Jasmine Waltz. After a series of linkups and short-term relationships, Pine started dating South African Sports Illustrated model Dominique Piek in 2011. Acting Career
Before making it to the movies, Pine starred in one episode of the American medical drama series ER in 2003. He also appeared in episodes of The Guardian and CSI: Miami in the same year. The following year, he was seen in the short film Why Germany?, and made his Hollywood debut with the movie The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, co-starring Anne Hathaway. He was next seen in an episode of TV series Six Feet Under in the year 2005. The same year, he appeared in independent film Confession, and another short film The Bulls.

The actor then appeared in the 2006 television movie Surrender, Dorothy. He then starred opposite Lindsay Lohan in the American rom-com Just My Luck. The same year, he acted in the Blind Dating and Smokin` Aces. In 2007, the actor turned down the role in White Jazz to take up the role of James T. Kirk in the 2009 sci-fi Star Trek in movie`s reboot series. The movie went on to become a critically acclaimed movie and a commercial success. He lent his voice to the character of Dave in the movie Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey, and was also a part of independent film Small Town Saturday Night.

In 2012, he lent his voice to the character of Jack Frost in Rise of the Guardians. The actor then appeared in the reboot of the Jack Ryan series, playing the role of CIA agent Jack Ryan in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit in 2014. Pine was then seen in Horrible Bosses 2, and Into The Woods, playing Cinderella`s Prince. Despite appearing in a number of films, Pine became an overnight sensation only after he was cast in the Star Trek reboot series: Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, both of which were commercially successful films, and Star Trek Beyond, which released in 2016. His other releases in the year 2016 includes Hell or High Water co-starring Ben Foster and Jeff Bridges. The actor has been roped in to play the lead role in the 2017 superhero movie Wonder Woman. He was also a part of the spinoff Wonder Woman 1984 (2020). His other movies include A Wrinkle in Time (2018), Outlaw King (2018), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), Love, Antosha (2019), The Contractor (2022), All the Old Knives (2022), Don`t Worry Darling (2022) and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023). He then wrote, acted, directed and produced Poolman (2024).
