Farah Khan is a Bollywood choreographer, director, producer and actress. She forayed into the film industry as a choreographer with her compositions for the song, Pehla Nasha in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), which helped her gain substantial recognition among the masses and top directors. Farah`s career gained momentum after the success of the song Chaiyya Chaiyya, which topped the charts in India. Some of her noteworthy works are Ek Pal Ka Jeena, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan, Desi Girl, Sheila Ki Jawani and Dhol Bajne Laga.

She has also worked on international projects such as Monsoon Wedding (2001) and Bombay Dreams (2004). Farah has choreographed several Bollywood songs, and has also been the recipient of the Filmfare Best Choreography Award multiple times. She made her directorial debut with Main Hoon Na (2004), which went on to be success among the masses. Following this, she also directed Om Shanti Om (2007), Tees Maar Khan (2010), and Happy New Year (2014). She made her acting debut with Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi (2012) opposite Boman Irani. In 2017, she worked as a choreographer in the Marathi family drama Hrudayantar, directed by Vikram Phadnis. Her other releases include Dhadak (2018) and Mrs. Serial Killer (2020).
