Known professionally as Nicky Jam, Nick Caminero is a Latin trap, reggaeton singer and songwriter. He is best known for hits such as "X", "Travesuras", "Te Busco", "El Perdon", "Hasta el Amanecer", and "El Amante", the latter three from his 2017 album Fenix. He is also known for making romantic songs within the reggaeton genre. He has frequently collaborated with other Latin artists such as Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Ozuna, and Anuel AA. Jam recorded his first album Distinto A Los Demas at the age of fourteen. After his first album, he continued working in the music industry, where he met Daddy Yankee when they were recording with Guatauba and DJ Playero. Daddy Yankee asked Rivera to work with him. They created many commercially successful singles including "Sabanas Blancas", "Guayando", "Sentirte" and many others.

In 2015, Nicky Jam won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Performance. Rivera performed the official song "Live It Up" alongside American rapper Will Smith and Kosovar singer Era Istrefi at the closing ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Moscow, Russia. In 2018, he collaborated with J Balvin on the song X (Nicky Jam and J Balvin song). The song became a hit and it has gathered 1.7 Billion views on youtube. His collaboration with fellow artists Ozuna and Bad Bunny in the song Te bote (remix) has gained over 2 billion views on YouTube. In 2020, he featured as an actor in the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence starrer third installment of the Bad Boys series Bad Boys For Life, directed by Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi.
