Priyanka bose is an Indian model and actress, who shot to fame with her performance in the movie gangor (2010) directed by italo spinelli. Receiving critical acclaim for her role, priyanka won the best actress award at the new jersey independent south asian film festival (2010) as well. She made her debut with the bollywood movie Johnny Gaddar (2007) and has appeared in movies such as Love Sex Aur Dhoka (2010), Oonga (2013), Gulaab Gang (2014), and the oscar-nominated movie lion (2016).

MOVIE CAREER
Priyanka first appeared on silver screen as the main dancer in the song `Ola Ola` in the movie Johnny Gaddar, which was released in 2007. In her next two movies - Sorry Bhaii (2008) and Love Sex Aur Dhoka (2010), she appeared in minor roles. It was only in 2010 that priyanka received worldwide recognition for her poised performance as a tribal woman in the multilingual independent movie Gangor (2010). Directed the Italian director, Italo Spinelli, the movie, which is based on the bangla short story choli ke peeche by Mahasweta Devi, received international recognition. It went on to bag three awards - best film, best actor, and best actress - at the new jersey independent south asian film festival in 2010. In the same year, the actress was also seen in the movie Guzaarish directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali - she essayed the character of the singer at the bar.

In 2012, Priyanka starred in the lead role alongside Dibya Chhetri and Yashpal Sharma in the movie oass directed by Abhinav Shiv Tiwari.. The film which highlights the subject of human trafficking is based on a true story of an 11-year-old-girl nepalese girl, who was abducted and later sold to a brothel in new delhi by her own aunt. Oass won the best film award at the ladakh international film festival along with the best screenplay award. Her next lead role came with the 2013 bengali movie Shunyo Awnko directed by Goutam Ghose.. In the same year, she was also seen in an oriya movie oonga directed by Devashish Makhija. Another critically acclaimed film, Oonga won praises at several national and international film festivals with josh hurtado of the screen anarchy, an online portal, stating: "a complicated tale of a complicated existence in a place where simplicity still reigns".

In 2014, she was seen in the movie Gulaab Gang directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film was much hyped as it, owing to its stellar cast as it was for the first time that the prominent actresses of Bollywood, Juhi Chawla, and Madhuri Dixit shared screen-space. Although many critics gave rave reviews for Juhi Chawla`s performance, the movie received mixed reviews otherwise. In the same year, Priyanka essayed the role of Monica in the successful movie Sold (2014), directed by Jeffrey D. Brown. It was the casting director Tess Joseph, who cast her in the movie that also stars Niyar Saikia, Gillian Anderson, and David Arquette in the lead roles. The film went on to win several awards including the pure heaven audience award at the London Indian film festival 2014.

In 2016, after appearing in the Marathi movie Half Ticket, she starred in Gareth Davis feature debut, Lion. Starring Dev Patel, David Wenham, Rooney Mara, and Nicole Kidman, the movie received six academy award nominations and was highly praised by the critics. Priyanka later revealed that it was Tess Joseph (whom she worked with in sold), who helped her in getting the role in the movie. Her 2020 release includes Iskool Bag.

Priyanka also was part of the play Nirbhaya based on the 2012 Delhi gang rape.
