Primarily known for his work in Malayalam cinema, actor Unni Mukundan has appeared in over thirty-five movies since his feature film debut in the 2011 Tamil movie Seedan. He is best familiar to the Mollywood audience for his roles in movies like Mallu Singh (2012), Thatsamayam Oru Penkutty (2012) and Vikramadithyan (2014); while the Telugu cinegoers have seen the actor as the primary antagonist in the action drama Janatha Garage (2016) starring Junior NTR and Mohanlal.

Other significant film credits include Bombay March 12 (2011) for which he won the SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut in Malayalam, the romantic comedy KL 10 Patthu (2015), the action thriller Masterpiece (2017), the Tollywood horror thriller Bhaagamathie (2018) and the Malayalam action thriller Mikhael (2019).
