A graduate of the National School of Drama, Delhi, Anjali Patil is an Indian theatre and film actress, who has also made her mark in international cinema. Born in a Maharashtrian family in Nashik, India, Anjali had a keen interest in acting as a child and got herself enrolled at the Centre for Performing Arts at the University of Pune. Anjali excelled as a art student, earning a gold medal with her Bachelor`s Degree. She further honed her skills by pursuing a Master`s Degree in Theatre Design from the National School of Drama, Delhi. It was during this time that Anjali got opportunities to connect with several Indian and international artists.

Anjali made her debut in 2011 with the critically acclaimed Hindi indie movie Delhi in a Day directed by Prashant Nair. Receiving unanimous praise from the critics, she was also nominated in the Best Actress category at the New York Indian Film Festival. However, the actress gained recognition in Bollywood for her role in Prakash Jha`s Chakravyuh (2012). In 2012, she also starred in the Sri Lankan movie Oba Nathuwa Oba Ekka for which she won the Best Actress Award at the International Film Festival of India. Anjali carried her success on her next project-Naa Bangaaru Talli, a Telugu social drama directed by Rajesh Touchriver. The movie not only received positive reviews but also won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. For her performance in the movie, Anjali received Special Mention at the National Film Awards. In 2016, she also appeared in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra`s Mirzya. Her 2017 ventures include the movies Sameer and Newton.

In 2018, she appeared alongside Rajinikanth and Nana Patekar in Pa. Ranjith`s Tamil crime drama Kaala. Her 2019 project includes Mere Pyare Prime Minister. Her 2020 release includes Mann Fakiraa.
