An Indian film and theater actress, Kirti Kulhari predominantly works in the Bollywood Industry. She made her Hindi movie debut with the comedy film Khichdi: The Movie, based on Star India's TV series with the same name. It is the first film in the history of Hindi cinema to be based on a television series.

Early Life
Kirti was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra but her family belongs to Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. Her father is in the Indian Navy and mother is a homemaker. Kirti completed her graduation in Management from Bhavan's College, Mumbai and did her post graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication from KJ Somaiya College, Mumbai.

Acting career
After starring in a lot of plays and TV commercials, Kirti made her debut Khichdi: The Movie, released in 2010. She then appeared in Bejoy Nambiar's crime thriller film Shaitan, which along with her also starred Rajeev Khandelwal, Kalki Koechlin, Shiv Pandit, Neil Bhoopalam, Rajit Kapoor, Pavan Malhotra and Rajkummar Rao. Produced by Anurag Kashyap, the movie opened to positive response from the critics in India.

She then starred in films like Sooper Se Ooper opposite Vir Das, and Jal opposite Purab Kohli. In 2016, she was seen in Pink, co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Amitabh Bachchan, and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles, that went on to garner immense praise critically, and was declared a hit. Her other releases for the year included San '75 Pachattar, and Cute Kameena. The following, in 2017, she was cast alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Anupam Kher in Indu Sarkar, which is set between 1975-1977, shedding light on the state of emergency across the country declared by the them Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, where Kirti plays the lead role.
