Actor-turned-director, Nagesh Bhosle is one of the most popular names in the Marathi and Hindi film industry. Nagesh has appeared in over a hundred films across Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu languages and is also a popular television and theater actor. As an actor, he has appeared in movies such as Ganvesh (2015), Shasan (2015), Pyaar Vali Love Story (2014), Duniyadari (2013), and Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi (2009). Devyani and Damini are some of the popular Marathi serials that he was a part of.

After being a successful actor for more than a decade, Nagesh turned a director and producer in 2009, with the movie Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi. The movie that highlighted the plight of farmers in Maharashtra, received critical acclaim. He, along with popular actors Sayaji Shinde and Makarand Anaspure, started a production house to produce the movie. Nagesh has since then made movies that focus on the contemporary issues of Indian and has received several awards at the national and international film festivals. In December 2016, his movie Nati Khel (2017) bagged a special award at the Wuhan International Art Film Festival, in China. In 2017, he appeared in the movie Zari directed by Raju Meshram. He is associated with the 2018 Marathi drama Hichyasathi Kay Pan directed by Milind Dastane. He is associated with the 2018 Marathi drama Mahasatta 2035 directed by Ramprasad Nakate and Sobat. His 2019 release includes Bola Alakh Niranjan.
