BIOGRAPHY

Onir is an National Award-winning Indian director, screenwriter, editor and producer. He started out in the film industry as an editor, working on films like Rahul (2001), Daman (2001) and Bhoot (2003) before making his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed drama film My Brother...Nikhil (2005). Significant film credits as a director include Bas Ek Pal (2006), Sorry Bhai (2008), I Am (2011) and Shab (2017). Besides these, he has also produced the critically acclaimed Chauranga (2016), which won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Film at the Los Angeles Indian Film Festival. In 2011, Onir’s anthology film I Am won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.
