American producer and screenwriter Rhett Reese is best known collaboration with fellow writer-producer Paul Wernick, with whom he has co-written and bankrolled blockbusters like Zombieland (2009) and Deadpool (2016). The duo first rose to prominence courtesy of the immensely popular reality television hoax show The Joe Schmo Show (2003-13), which they created and co-wrote.
In 2017, Reese and Wernick won the Empire Award for Best Screenplay for penning the superhero movie Deadpool (2016). Other significant writing credits include the military sci-fi action film G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), the sci-fi horror film Life (2017), Deadpool 2 (2018) and Zombieland 2: Double Tap (2019).
