Somnath Sen is a renowned Indian director, writer, and lyricist who primarily works in Bengali cinema. In his career spanning more than two decades, Somanth has worked in different areas of filmmaking including direction, editing, scriptwriting, and cinematographer, he has worked in more than 100 productions including feature films, documentaries, music videos, TV series and commercials both in India and in the US. The director of Outreach and Academic Affiliations at Whistling Woods International, a Film Communications and Media Arts Institute, Mumbai that is founded by Subhash Ghai. His 2017 directorial venture includes Neer Khonje Pakhi (2017), a Bengali drama directed by Somnath Sen.
